About Mangrove Tourism
West Bengal's premier eco-safari operator dedicated to authentic, sustainable Sundarban experiences.
Founded in 2016, Mangrove Tourism has been at the forefront of responsible tourism in the Sundarban delta. We are a government-registered tour operator with a mission to showcase the rich biodiversity of the mangrove forests while ensuring the well-being of local communities and the environment.
Our team of 28 local staff – including boat captains, naturalists, cooks, and folk artists – are all residents of the Sundarban islands. We believe that tourism should benefit the people who live in and protect this unique ecosystem.
We are proud to have planted over 5,000 mangrove saplings through our "Green Canopy" initiative, and we continue to work with forest departments to support conservation efforts.

Our Commitment to Sustainable Tourism
We follow a strict "Leave No Trace" policy on all our safaris. We use solar-powered boats where possible, provide reusable water bottles, and educate our guests on responsible wildlife viewing. We also contribute a portion of every booking to mangrove restoration projects.
We are signatories of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council's criteria and actively work towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – particularly Goal 14 (Life Below Water) and Goal 15 (Life on Land).
